Over four sessions in January, Matt will guide participants through a wide range of real-world hands-on recording seminars. Lessons will alternate weekly between theory and live band multitrack recording sessions. Each recording session will feature a band/ensemble from a different musical genre, allowing participants to experience a variety of recording scenarios and challenges.

- Recording with intention
- Microphone choice, placement, and strategies
- Session flow
- Introductory mixing: EQ, compression, balance, and time-based effects
- Creative production techniques across genres
- Community Q&A and project feedback
Meet Your Instructor
Matt Legge is Arraymusic’s House Manager and Technical Director. A recording engineer and producer from Nashville, TN, known for his work in country, rock, Americana, and beyond. He was nominated for a TEC Award for his work on Taylor Swift’s “White Horse”, which won two Grammy Awards and was featured on Grey’s Anatomy. His work has been praised by Rolling Stone and The Boston Globe for its bold, genre-bending approach. Album Credits
