The Array/Evergreen Gamelan Meet-up Is Back!
Come join us and make music on our beautiful gamelan degung instruments from West Java, Indonesia.
This meetup at The Array Space is a place where music lovers can play the Evergreen Club’s gamelan in a relaxed, no-pressure, friendly environment. In our sessions, we explore the sound of the instruments, improvise, and learn traditional sounds and tunes written by our instructors.
No musical experience is required!
These instruments sound amazing together and our instructors are there to help you. Whether you have no musical experience or are a music professional who wants to play gamelan, you are welcome.
* These instruments were used in the soundtrack of Life of Pi (for which Mychael Danna won an Oscar!) and can now be played by The Array Space community on a regular basis.
Come bring your friends & meet some new ones @ The Array Space.
