Enter Duo Cichorium’s Playscape Emporium , a six-part series built around storytelling through cross-disciplinary collaboration. Each event in the series will feature a distinct artistic medium, blending music, dance, theater, visual art, poetry, puppetry, and video games. Duo Cichorium and their guest artists will craft unique narratives that blend their creative styles, resulting in unpredictable and engaging performances.

PUPPET ZONE is a performance highlighting cross-disciplinary collaboration between puppetry and music performance. Paper Man is conceptualized and directed by Mabel Wonnacott,assisted by puppeteers and overhead projection artists from the Puppet Mongers Theater. This production follows the birth and life of a simple Paper Man along with the many elemental matters that threaten his very existence. Duo Cichorium will provide sonic assistance in the form of music and foley effects. This work will build upon a previously performed 10-minute version presented in June 2024. The second half of this performance will be the premiere of Cheyenne McLean and Mark Terrett’s Puppet Musical. Duo Cichorium will work alongside these two puppeteers to compose and perform this work, as an expansion and solidification of previous improvisatory performances. Drummer/percussionist Yang Chen and bassist Connor Crone will be brought in to join Duo Cichorium as the Puppet Musical band.
