Curatorial Statement

Behaviours season 2 is back with a new set of concerts and exciting musicians who explore the relationships with new media and sound. Behaviours will feature artist-musicians who work with new media, interactive tools, and/or digital technology, and will call on them to create experimental sound performances. By incorporating sound installation and new media concepts into the concert space, featured artists will create new concert experiences that challenge traditional configurations of the concert space.

Behaviours:Into features artists who create immersive audiovisual experiences with a thoughtful consideration to the visual relationships between sight and sound. This concert will explore how immersiveness, installation, video, lighting, text, projection, graphics and other unique ways of relating sound with sight can be leveraged to compose powerful, experimental sound art works and performances. Behaviours:Into will feature multidisciplinary artist Kristina Guison and experimental sound art collective Zerone Duo, who will present their new work from their varied multimedia practices.
