A Seat at the Table — Live Interview with Bruce Russell

Join us for a live public interview with Bruce Russell, a composer and curator who has just completed his three-year residency at Array Music. This is an honest conversation about what belonging feels like inside cultural institutions, what often goes unseen, and what sustained engagement requires beyond symbolic gestures.

If you’ve ever wondered who gets heard, who carries the work, and what change could look like in practice, we hope you’ll join us in the room.

A Seat at the Table — Open Conversations

A Seat at the Table is a workshop series in the form of guided conversations. We’re gathering in-person at Array Space to listen, speak plainly, and reflect on how culture, identity, and belonging are lived across Toronto’s diasporic communities and within contemporary music spaces.

You do not need a music background. You do not need the “right” words. If you’ve ever felt outside the room, unsure how institutions speak about you, or curious what real belonging could look like, this space is for you. Come as you are and bring your perspective and maybe a friend!
